Triangle Food Box
Working To Eliminate Hunger In Our Community
COVID-19 Response: We have returned to a shopping style pantry every month! We will continue to utilize gloves, masks, frequent hand washing and sanitizing procedures to prepackage boxes and bags on a per family basis, this will include all of the items normally offered and will take each family size (following FDA guidelines) into account. Please park in the designated areas outside the Grange, we will check you in and bring your packages to you! If you or someone you know cannot get to the pantry on giveaway days, please call Cyndie Blake (541)925-3254 or use the email addresses listed below to coordinate a delivery.
How it all began...
We started out more than 35 years ago and have come a long way since then. For years before we became incorporated in 2003, we operated in conjunction with our local Triangle Grange to distribute food to those in need. We have had different names along the way, such as the 'Gatherers & Gleaners', whose purpose was harvesting the last of the local farmer's crops, that had been donated, and distributing them. They also bought fish from the local fisherman. After they had sold everything they could to their wholesalers, sometimes there was still plenty. These were bought for deeply discounted prices, by a collected fund, and distributed to local families. Well, the names may have changed, but the guiding principles have not. Our goal is to make healthy, nutritious food available to those people in our community who would not have access to it otherwise. Our mission is to make sure that no one in our community goes hungry.
